The Ministry of Industrialisation, Mines and Energy has announced a nationwide fuel price increase effective 3 December, following rising global oil costs and supply disruptions.

The Ministry of Industrialisation, Mines and Energy has announced that fuel prices for both petrol and diesel will increase by 21 cents per litre, effective 3 December 2025. The ministry explained that this adjustment comes after five months of stable prices, noting that even with the Namibian dollar strengthening against the US dollar, global market conditions have created upward pressure on fuel costs.

In its statement, the ministry said the December increase is driven by rising international crude oil and refined product prices. It emphasised that tighter global supply has played a major role, pointing to geopolitical tensions, limited OPEC plus output growth and ongoing disruptions at several refineries. “This increase is attributed to rising international crude oil and refined product prices, tighter supply due to geopolitical tensions, limited OPEC plus output growth, and ongoing refinery disruptions,” the ministry noted.

As a result of these factors, the new pump prices at Walvis Bay will be adjusted to N$20.58 per litre for Petrol 95, N$20.13 per litre for Diesel 50ppm and N$20.23 per litre for Diesel 10ppm. Fuel prices across the rest of the country will be revised in line with these changes.
