The Ministry of Industries, Mines and Energy Calls on Namibian MSMEs to Apply for Equipment Aid Scheme for 2025/26

The Ministry of Industries, Mines and Energy has officially opened applications for its 2025/26 Equipment Aid Scheme (EAS), inviting micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) across Namibia to apply for support in acquiring production equipment and machinery.
The scheme targets businesses operating in key sectors including manufacturing, agro-processing and related agricultural value chains, mineral beneficiation such as gemstone and dimension stone processing, jewelry making, and pharmaceutical and cosmetic services. Small-scale miners and related enterprises are also eligible.
According to the Ministry, only 100% Namibian-owned businesses that are registered with the Business Intellectual Property Authority (BIPA) and meet specific operational and financial criteria will be considered. Applicants must have been operational for at least one year, demonstrate good standing with the Social Security Commission (SSC) and NamRA, and provide a brief business proposal or company profile.
Each successful applicant can request up to N$80,000, with a maximum of 15% of the amount allocated for raw materials, supported by three quotations from different suppliers. Businesses that have previously benefited from the scheme are not eligible, and applicants must submit their forms to the regional office where their business operates.
The call for applications is open until 9 February 2026. Interested parties can obtain the application form from the Ministry’s website, head office, or any regional office. For technical and policy-related inquiries, the Ministry has provided contact points in all regions.
The Ministry emphasized that the initiative aims to strengthen MSMEs by enhancing their production capacity, promoting industrial growth, and fostering sustainable economic development across Namibia.
