Six Accused in NAMCOR Corruption Case Granted Bail After Court Victory

Six individuals implicated in the high-profile NAMCOR corruption case have been released on bail after successfully appealing a previous decision that denied them bail.
The ruling, delivered by Judge Eileen Rakow, overturned the Windhoek Magistrate’s Court decision from September 2025. The court granted bail to Peter and Malakia Elindi, Leo Nandago, Immanuel Mulunga, Olivia Dunaiski, and Jennifer Hamukwaya under strict conditions.
Four of the accused the Elindis, Mulunga, and Hamukwaya were each granted bail of N$50,000, while Nandago and Dunaiski were released on N$20,000 bail.
As part of the bail conditions, all six are prohibited from applying for travel documents for the duration of the trial. Copies of their identification documents will also be circulated at border posts and airports to prevent them from leaving the country.
Their movements within Namibia have also been restricted. The Elindis and Nandago may not leave the Ondangwa district without notifying the investigating officer in writing, while Mulunga, Dunaiski, and Hamukwaya are confined to the Windhoek district unless granted permission.
In addition, the accused must report twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays to Anti-Corruption Commission offices in Oshakati or Windhoek.
They have also been ordered not to interfere with witnesses, tamper with evidence, or obstruct the investigation, and must attend all court proceedings as the case continues.
