Manchester City’s latest Premier League match ended in disappointment after they were held to a draw by Bournemouth, a result that officially ended the title race.
City dominated large parts of the game and created several chances, but they struggled to finish their opportunities. Bournemouth defended strongly and stayed disciplined throughout the match. Even though City managed a late equaliser, it was not enough to keep their title hopes alive.
With both Manchester City and Arsenal having played 37 matches, Arsenal are now 4 points clear at the top of the table, meaning the title is mathematically confirmed with only one game left in the season.
Arsenal have now secured the Premier League title, ending a long wait for league glory.
This is a major moment for the club, as it marks their first Premier League title since the 2003/04 season, when the famous “Invincibles” team went unbeaten throughout the campaign.
After winning the league in 2004, Arsenal went through a long period without lifting the Premier League trophy. Over the years, they came close several times but were unable to finish as champions, often finishing behind Manchester City and other rivals during different seasons.
