FIFA is set to introduce a special badge for the 2026 World Cup

Players making their first-ever appearance at a World Cup will wear a dedicated badge on their shirts, marking their debut on football’s biggest stage and celebrating their arrival at the tournament.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will officially kick off on 11 June 2026 and will be hosted across the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

Africa is set to have strong representation at the expanded tournament, with teams including Algeria, Cape Verde, DR Congo, Egypt, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Morocco, Senegal, South Africa, and Tunisia expected to feature.
The expanded 48-team format is expected to give Africa its biggest presence in World Cup history.
