Bush Bucks FC join Black Hawks FC on NEFD following a Historic NEFD Promotion
Bush Bucks FC have officially earned promotion to the Namibia North East First Division (NEFD) after an outstanding campaign in the ongoing Promotion Playoffs.
The Zambezi-based side began their campaign with a goalless draw against Young Western Fighters FC before recording three consecutive victories:
Bush Bucks FC 2-0 Gerros Uri-khob FA
Bush Bucks FC 2-0 Rundu Rangers FC
Bush Bucks FC 1-0 Members XI FC
With these impressive results, Bush Bucks FC become the first team to officially secure promotion from the ongoing playoffs.
The Bucks will now join Black Hawks FC in the NEFD next season, strengthening Zambezi Region’s representation in the league.
Meanwhile, Oshikoto-based Gerros Uri-khob FA endured a disappointing campaign, finishing without a single point from four matches. They become the first team to be relegated back to the Oshikoto Second Division.
They are joined by Members XI FC from Ohangwena, who also failed to retain their place after collecting just three points from four matches, confirming their relegation to the Ohangwena Second Division.
The battle for the second and final promotion spot will now be decided between Young Western Fighters FC and Rundu Rangers FC in what promises to be a thrilling conclusion to the playoffs.
