Okarindi Komutati FC have secured promotion to the North West Stream First Division after a commanding 9-1 victory over Future FC in their final promotion playoff match at Etoshapoort Stadium.
The emphatic win saw Okarindi Komutati FC finish second in the playoff standings with four points, edging out Spoilers FC on goal difference. Both teams ended the competition with four points, but Okarindi Komutati FC’s superior +4 goal difference was enough to claim the final promotion spot, while Spoilers FC finished with a +3 goal difference.
Okamwandi United FC had already secured promotion on Saturday after winning their opening two matches, making Sunday’s encounter a decisive battle for the second and final promotion place.
Future FC endured a difficult playoff campaign, suffering heavy defeats in all three of their matches. They opened with a 6-0 loss to Okamwandi United FC before falling 4-0 to Spoilers FC. Their campaign ended with a 9-1 defeat to Okarindi Komutati FC.
As a result, Okamwandi United FC and Okarindi Komutati FC have earned promotion to the North West Stream First Division for the upcoming season.
