Queen of Gospel, Sovita Joshua Raises Concerns Over Mistreatment at Restoration Concert

Renowned Namibian gospel artist Sovita Joshua, popularly known as the Queen of Gospel, has taken to social media to express her disappointment over the way she was treated during the Restoration Concert.
In a video shared on her platforms, Joshua revealed that she was made to perform under direct sunlight, leaving her visibly sunburned. The clip shows her applying cream to her skin while explaining that she had been “burned” after performing in the scorching conditions.
In a separate concern, the gospel star claimed that she was prevented from sitting in the “masters” section, despite being invited to do so by the event organiser himself.
“The owner of the show found me sitting in the tent after my performance in the sun and told me to go sit in the golden circle,” she wrote. “When I went there with my husband and daughter, one of the officers stopped us and said, ‘No, you cannot sit there, those seats are only for the masters.’ I felt embarrassed. Thank God my niece , who once pranked me with a fake pregnancy, fought for us until Top Cheri came and gave us the same seats.”
Her post, written partly in Oshiwambo, highlighted her frustration, noting that some people underestimate her humility.
Fans of Sovita Joshua quickly rallied behind her in the comment section, expressing their disappointment with the treatment she received. Many are calling for an official apology from the concert organisers.
