Black Hawks FC Hit with One-Point Deduction After Ineligible Player Controversy

Black Hawks FC, one of the leading clubs from the Zambezi Region, have been penalized with a three-point deduction following a violation in the opening match of the 2025 season. The club fielded a player who was not listed on the official team sheet submitted before their clash with Ohangwena Nampol FC on 7 December 2025. The match had originally ended in a 2-2 draw.
Following the discovery, football authorities overturned the draw and awarded Ohangwena Nampol FC full points along with three goals, adjusting the official standings.
Prior to the deduction, Black Hawks FC occupied third place on the league table with 24 points, level with second-placed KK United FC and just one point behind log leaders Cuca Tops FC. With the penalty applied, the Zambezi giants drop to fourth with 23 points same goal different as Further Fighters FC.

This development makes Black Hawks FC the third Namibian team to face a points deduction this season, following Chula-Chula FC from the Premier League and Eleven Warrior FC from the North West League, each penalized for fielding ineligible players in one match.
Football officials have emphasized that clubs must adhere strictly to player registration rules to ensure fair competition throughout the season.
