Late Drama at Jan Wilkens stadium as Blue Waters Deny Rundu Chiefs Victory

Blue Waters FC produced a dramatic late comeback to secure a 2–2 draw against Rundu Chiefs FC after trailing by two goals at halftime in an entertaining league encounter played at the Jan Wilkens stadium.
Rundu Chiefs, nicknamed Epangero, dominated the opening half and took a deserved 2–0 lead, showing composure and attacking intent. However, their inability to protect the advantage in the closing stages proved costly. A tactical substitution by the Chiefs’ technical bench disrupted the team’s balance, allowing Blue Waters to capitalize and score twice in the final minutes to salvage a point.
The draw sees Rundu Chiefs move up to 13th position on the log with 11 points, lifting them temporarily out of the relegation zone. They face another tough test on Sunday when they take on Eleven Arrows FC, who are currently sitting eighth on the table after edging Julinho Athletic FC 1–0.
In the title race, contenders Mighty Gunners suffered a setback after going down 2–0 to Young African. The defeat leaves Mighty Gunners on 21 points from 13 matches, level with Eeshoke Chula Chula, while African Stars moved to the top of the standings with 22 points following a 1–1 draw against UNAM FC.
Life Fighters boosted their survival hopes with a hard-fought 3–2 victory over Tigers FC. After Tigers had equalised in the second half, Life Fighters struck a late winner to claim all three points in a thrilling contest.
Looking ahead to Sunday’s fixtures, Life Fighters will face Young African in what promises to be a challenging encounter, while Mighty Gunners host Tigers FC as they seek a swift response to keep their title ambitions alive
